Unveiled in June, this 50-foot span of text brings color and poetry to the Tannery Campus, with each letter woven onto the existing chain link fence along River Street, making the ordinary extraordinary. The statement and colors used in Created to Create is representative of the community and diversity at the Tannery Arts Center - and a welcome to all visitors. This piece was created with 100% recycled materials, sourced through the community, and created with her partner Crystal.
“I’m a 26-year-old multimedia artist trying to bring beauty with whatever I can get my hands on.” says Rebeca,“I choose the statement ‘Created to Create’ because I felt it is representative of the community and atmosphere that the Tannery brings. Created to Create - three words with deep meaning that we as artists can relate to. The rainbow color scheme was chosen to showcase the diversity of art and artists living at the Tannery Arts Center”
