A curation of bold, local talent in the urban and graffiti art genre, produced by Augie WK with The Jams. Augie is a muralist based in Watsonville and currently painting walls all over the USA.
“The concept of this piece is to bring people together,” says Augie. “We are using a triangle shape to draw people in, each artist painting one side and meeting at the points. Like a dance between the painter and viewer, the art is informed by the audience.”
These movable murals have a fast creation time as artists respond to their immediate surroundings - people, architecture, sounds, and texture. The concepts share themes of community, culture, and diversity while allowing access and enjoyment of public art for all.
