INSTALLATION/SCULPTOR/PERFORMANCE
My work has evolved from Painting and and drawing to process based multi media sculpture and performance which I would like to reflect a dialog with place, displacement, inner and outer landscape, and ethical issues of the environment. My works are frequently semi permanent, experimental, temporary and made with locally available materials. Recently I have been working with found bamboo, discarded rubber inner tubes and wool. These pieces evolved from a group of sculptures which I constructed with bamboo and rubber inner tubes last year. These bare, light transparent works became the skeletons of the new pieces: solid geometrical forms enhanced by the color and texture of found woolen items like blankets and sweaters. My work is always evolving.
