WRITER
I was born at the confluence of Sul’ma’ejote (Fall River) and It’Ajuma (Pit River) on November 21, 1939. I attended elementary schools in NE California, graduating from Enterprise High School in 1961. I entered the USMC in 1957 and was honorably discharged in 1961. I had to earn extra credits so I could graduate and it looks like I was in the Corps while I was in high school. In defense of my people I got deeply involved with the “Indian Wars” sweeping the nation. In 1987 I entered UCDavis, graduating in 1992. I went to U of Arizona, cmpleting requirements as a Ph. D. in 1997. Writing and teaching are the things I do. I have seven sons, two grandsons and two granddaughters in Oregn and Washington. I have a granddaughter at Lake Tahoe and a granddaughter in San Jose. Two of my sons live with me at the Tannery. They attend Cabrillo. I am a Prfessor, published author and a playwrite. “Bleed” stroke, 2000 stopped much of my activity. I have been here since the lofts opened. There is so much talent here that I am waiting for an explosion like “Hair.”
